Mike Philbin’s many friends, professional and business associates, and staff of Lawyer’s Escrow Service (“LES”) and Michael J. Philbin P.C. mourn the loss of Mike to an untimely death on April 24, 2015.
Mike was one of Nashville’s most experienced and respected real estate attorneys.
For much of his career, while also engaging in other law practice areas such as civil trial work, business and corporate representation, Mike maintained a primary focus in his real estate practice.
It was his fondest wish and desire that his beloved clients in his law practice and the clients of LES continue to be lovingly and competently served even beyond his retirement (which was hoped to still be years away),
a wish which his dear friend Denny Bennett and the staff at LES are endeavoring to fulfill in accordance with plans that were in the works at the time of his unexpected passing.
Denny and Mike were planning strategically to collaborate with each other in law practice and real estate business at the time of Mike’s death, and Denny, Shannon Philbin,
and the rest of the LES staff intend to carry on following the guideposts of innate fairness and integrity that Mike always demonstrated, in his honor and in memory of him.
Mike was a driving force behind the formation of LES by his former law firm and partners in 1975, and Mike was the supervising partner of LES continuously from its formation until his departure from his former law firm in 1998.
At that time, in recognition of Mike’s dedication to real estate practice, his then partners agreed upon Mike’s succession to sole ownership of LES, which Mike relocated to its present offices in Green Hills at the start of 1999.
Since that time and until his untimely death April 24, 2015, Mike operated his solo law practice, Michael J. Philbin, P.C., and LES, in tandem at their Green Hills location of 2021 Richard Jones Road, Suite 220.
